Our latest long distance walk was the Great Glen Way, around 80 miles, starting at Fort William and walking along Loch Lochy, the Caledonian canal and Loch Ness. We did it in April of this year. We walked for 6 days and did the route over 7, with a day off in Fort Augustus. Mickledore organised the holiday and it was excellent.
You can rely on Mickledore to do all the organising. They make it special ! All we had to do was put one foot in front of the other!

I’ve used Mickledore for 3 out of the 4 long distance walks I’ve done and will use them again. They make planning your walk easy and will customise according to your wishes. Mickledore choose very professional couriers and the overnight stops are superb. I feel that Mickledore do that extra bit to make your holiday special.
Over the phone or by email, the team are friendly, polite and very helpful. The experience that the company has enables them to help you plan, and they organise holidays overseas as well as in the UK.

We followed St Oswald’s Way from Holy Island in Northumberland to Heavenfield on Hadrian’s Wall Path. The walk from Holy Island to Warkworth followed the coastal path, taking in beautiful scenery and magnificent castles. From Warkworth, we headed inland, through the Cheviots and down to the Hadrian’s Wall Path.

Accommodation, breakfast, packed lunches, and luggage transfer were all organised for us by Mickledore so that all we had to do was walk and source our own evening meal. The B&Bs were, without exception, really good, plus Mickledore provided all the information we needed, including where to eat en route and all other local services. It was a beautiful walk, made even more enjoyable because it was completely stress-free.

We did a 50 mile walk from Penzance to Falmouth staying in (mostly) traditional B’n’B places. Our luggage was transported each day by a courier firm leaving us to walk with just a day pack. The accommodation was excellent at every stop with very friendly and helpful staff at each location.

Great support with loads of information about the route (including a Harvey’s map and Coastal Walk book), the places we were staying in and places to eat, both on route and in the evenings. Lots of good advice and tips. Good provision of help/emergency numbers for any problems (not needed by us, fortunately).
