We did a self-guided walking trip on the Dales High Way, and loved it. It was challenging in terms of elevation and navigation, but that just makes it more fun. The landscape is so beautiful, the accommodations were great, and the people were lovely. We’re eager to return to that area because of this lovely trip!

Mickledore did it again: we’ve just returned from our second trip with them, this time on the Dales High Way. What a gorgeous part of England! Our trip was well planned by Mickledore, and all the details worked out well. Since we’ve now had two trips with them that are so well planned and go so smoothly, we know we can trust them to do this regularly. We are already thinking about what walking trip we want to do next summer!

We had an absolutely wonderful time walking Hadrian’s Wall last week, all prepared by Mickledore. They sent through the maps and guidebooks we needed; reserved the packed lunches and arranged the baggage transfer; and most important, selected and booked the most wonderful guesthouses to stay in. Every place we stayed as unique, welcoming and spotlessly clean. I would love to do it again immediately!

Dog Friendly Hadrian’s Wall Walk from Corbridge to Carlisle in 5 days. We enjoyed the walk very much, everything was very good prepared and we were vey well informed. Helpful app with all the relevant booking and itinerary information. Also the use of OS Maps was very helpful.

Friendly staff, very cooperative and solution-oriented. Quick response via email, easy to contact.
Very detailed information about the itinerary, preparation to the walk, hotels and B&B’s, restaurants in the area.
Very good arranged taxi transfers where needed. Booked accommodation suited our needs and sometimes even exceeded our expectation. Not a single problem whatsoever in preparation, during or after our holiday. So very happy with Mickledore!
